BACKLASH, Year 2

WCW and ECW host the first PPV of the Year 2

Match 1. Chris Jericho vs. Wade Barrett vs. Rick Rude   WCW United States Championship
Barrett hit Jericho with a sledgehammer and hit a sit-out spine buster. Barrett rolled him into the ring and Rude covered Jericho, but Barrett broke it up. Barrett hit Rude with the Winds of Change, but got a two count. Jericho landed his triple powerbombs on Barrett. Rude locked Barrett in a reverse chin lock and won.

Match 2. London and Kendrick vs. The Wyatt Family
London connected with a running knee and a hurricanrana. Erick came in and he and Harper landed a double gut buster. Kendrick fought Harper on the outside Rowan lifted London in the air and hit a chokeslam to win.

Match 3. Mysterio vs. Sabu vs. Sheamus vs. Jack Swagger
Swagger caught Sabu with a gut buster and a release German suplex. Rey laid out Swagger with a chair shot. Sabu wailed on Sheamus on the ramp with a chair. Swagger took down Rey and used him to do push ups. Swagger caught Rey's leg and rolled him up to win.

Match 4. Tazz vs. Rhyno   ECW Television Championship
Rhyno was doing everything he could to win. He landed a piledriver and sit-out powerbomb on the outside. Tazz tried making a comeback, but Rhyno landed a vicious spine buster. Tazz connected with a DDT to create separation. Rhyno got a near fall, but Tazz hit another DDT and a Tazz-plex to retain.

Match 5. Goldberg vs. Big Show
Goldberg easily lifted Show up for a spine buster and then hit a twisting neck breaker. Show tossed Goldberg out of the ring. He then threw him into the steps. Goldberg hit a pump handle drop. Back in the ring, Show hit the Showstopper and won.

Match 6. Raven vs. Mark Henry vs. CM Punk   ECW Championship
This is the second all-heels match. Henry hit Punk with a chair multiple times and busted him open. Punk and Raven hit Henry with a double gut buster. Raven grabbed a chair and busted Henry open. Raven reversed the GTS into a DDT. He then hit the Raven Effect on the outside. Henry lifted Raven up for a military press and slammed him on the steps to win the title.

Main Event. Extreme Rules - Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior   WCW Championship
Hogan slammed Warrior's face against the steel post multiple times. Warrior tossed Hogan into the steps and hit a running slam. He continued with mounted punches and another powerslam. Hogan landed a DDT and went for the leg drop, but Warrior moved. Warrior landed a military press slam and won the title.

Recap: Swagger stole that win. Both major titles changed. What a PPV; a sign of things to come.
