SmackDown's WRESTLEMANIA, Year 1

The end of Year 1 is so close.

Match 1. Ricky Steamboat vs. Curt Hennig
Hennig connected with his signature snapmare two times in a row. Steamboat came back with a head scissors takedown and a face buster. He later landed a super arm drag, but got a two count. They were in a quick pinning battle before Hennig landed the Perfect-plex to win.

Match 2. The Usos and Rob Van Dam vs. The Wyatt Family
This was a WrestleMania-worthy match. Bray hit Jimmy with a flying cross body. He then hit a tiger suplex into a pin, but got a two count. Bray and Harper worked over Jimmy some more. Harper went for his clothesline, but Jimmy ducked. Jimmy lifted Harper up for the full nelson bomb and won.

Match 3. Cody Rhodes vs. Fandango   European Championship
Cody struck the forehead of Fandango and then landed a suplex. Fandango came back with a neck breaker, snapmare and standing leg drop. He then hit the Complete Shot, but Cody was able to kick out. After a sit-out face buster, Fandango got another near fall. Cody hit the Alabama Slam and retained the title.

Match 4. Last Man Standing - Big Show vs. Diesel
Diesel and Show traded huge right hands at the beginning of the match. Big Show gained control and landed a sidewalk slam. Diesel rolled out of the ring and went for a chair. Show landed a suplex and rolled him back in. Show connected with the knockout punch and won.

Match 5. Rated-RKO vs. Legion of Doom   Tag Team Championship
Edge and Orton were double teaming Animal early. LOD hit Edge with a double hip toss. Hawk continued with a neck breaker and elbow drop. Later, Hawk was stomping on Edge in the corner. He then planted Edge with a DDT and won. Hawk and Animal finish as the tag team champions!

Match 6. John Cena vs. The Rock
Two of the greatest go one-on-one. Cena took Rock down with a shoulder tackle and hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle. After a cover, he landed the AA, but Rock kicked out again. Rock took his turn with a float-over DDT and spine buster. Rock then hit the Rock Bottom, but the match wasn't over. The two traded moves before Cena landed a second AA to win.

Main Event. Ryback vs. Booker T vs. Batista   World Heavyweight Championship
Booker gets hit rematch and Batista won the Rumble. Ryback and Booker caught Batista with multiple kicks to the gut. Batista went for a spine buster on Ryback, but he countered into a DDT. Batista got up and hit the Batista Bomb. He hit a second one a minute later. Ryback and Batista planted Booker with a double DDT. Ryback then connected with the meat hook clothesline to retain the world title.

Recap: With the Universe going under a complete overhaul next year, these champs mean very little. However, it was an excellent PPV.
