ECW/TNA ROYAL RUMBLE, Year 3


Match 1. Hell in a Cell - Kassius Ohno vs. Daniel Bryan   TNA and X-Division Championships
Both titles are on the line. Ohno landed a shoulder tackle. Bryan came back with a running forearm smash. The two were then locked in a back-and-forth pin battle with many near falls. Bryan went for the running knee, but Ohno reversed it into a tilt-a-whirl back breaker. Bryan made his comeback with a running clothesline and Shining Wizard to win.

Match 2. Samoa Joe vs. Bray Wyatt   ECW Television Championship
Bray hit a seated senton. Joe came back with a clothesline and running dropkick. Bray threw Joe and hit a flying forearm smash. He then connected with Sister Abigail, but Joe kicked out. Joe stopped Bray on the top and slammed him down. After a suplex, Joe hit a second finisher and won.

Match 3. Table - James Storm vs. Corey Graves
Storm placed Graves on a table and went for an ax smash, but Graves recovered and landed a back breaker. Graves then focused on the arm of Storm with an arm bar and wrench. He then took out Storm's left knee. He hit a reverse piledriver and a gut buster. Storm recovered and landed a powerbomb. He placed Graves onto a table and put him through with an elbow drop.

Match 4. Extreme Rules - CM Punk vs. Antonio Cesaro
Early in the match, both superstars left to grab weapons. Punk grabbed a kendo stick and Cesaro had a chair. The two traded suplexes and slams on the outside mat. Back in the ring, Cesaro lifted Punk up for a gut wrench slam and the Neutralizer, but Punk kicked out. Punk connected with a heel kick and running bulldog. After a chair shot, Punk landed the GTS and won.

After the match, Cesaro went to attack Punk, but he ducked and clotheslined him over the top.

Match 5. Bad Influence vs. Enzo Amore and Big Cass   TNA Tag Team Championship
Enzo and Cass worked over Daniels early. Cass planted him with a DDT and got a near fall. Kaz hit Enzo with a dropkick. Enzo quickly recovered and rolled Kaz up, but got a two count. Daniels lifted Cass up for a huge spine buster. Kaz hit Enzo with Fade to Black to retain the titles.

Match 6. Extreme Rules - Mick Foley vs. Bully Ray
Bully hit Foley over the head with a chair multiple times. Foley came back and slammed Bully into the announce table. Back in the ring, Foley hit the double-arm DDT. After throwing Ray into the steps, Foley hit a spike piledriver. Foley hit a second DDT and won.

Main Event. 30-man Royal Rumble
The first two entrants were Cody Rhodes and Kevin Steen. Steen had Cody against the ropes a few times. No. 3 was Mark Henry. He hit Steen with a powerful back suplex. No. 4 was Brodus Clay. Henry almost eliminated Clay. No. 5 was Kurt Angle. Steen kicked Cody over the top. No. 6 was Adrian Neville. Angle and Steen tried eliminating Neville, but to no avail. No. 7 was Alex Shelley. We haven't seen Shelley for months. Neville fought off Henry, Clay and Shelley. Angle hit Steen with a huge German suplex. Clay caught Neville with an overhead belly-to-belly. Neville came back and eliminated Henry. Steen clotheslined Angle over the top rope. Neville eliminated Steen. No. 8 was Ryback. Shelley tossed Clay out. Neville and Ryback immediately eliminated Shelley. No. 9 was Bret Hart. Neville continued with a clothesline elimination to Ryback. No. 10 was Sheamus. No. 11 was Stone Cold. Austin hit Bret with a back body drop. No. 12 was Rob Van Dam. Sheamus was eliminated by Bret. No. 13 was Bo Dallas.

Neville dropkicked Austin over the top. That's five for Neville. RVD ended it with his own dropkick. No. 14 was Matt Hardy. Bo eliminated Hardy. No. 15 was Rhyno. Bret and Bo hit RVD with a flapjack/DDT combo. Bret then eliminated RVD. No. 16 was D-Von. Rhyno eliminated Bo. No! He then hit Bret with a vicious spine buster. No. 17 was Sami Zayn. Rhyno tossed Bret out. Rhyno threw D-Von into the ropes and hit a spine buster. No. 18 was Petey Williams. He threw Zayn over the top. No. 19 was MVP. He went after Rhyno, but was caught with a spine buster. No. 20 was Magnus. Petey hit D-Von with a back stabber. Petey threw D-Von in the corner and tossed him out. No. 21 was Gunner. Rhyno eliminated MVP. Magnus caught Petey with the MDD. Rhyno was on the apron and Petey kicked him in the head for the elimination. No. 22 was Chris Sabin. Sabin dropkicked Magnus, but he was able to hold on. No. 23 was Bobby Roode. Petey hit him with a standing moonsault. Gunner eliminated Petey with a clothesline.

No. 24 was AJ Styles. Gunner eliminated Magnus. Roode tossed Sabin out. No. 25 was Kassius Ohno. I guess he wants another shot at Daniel Bryan. Styles eliminated Roode. No. 26 was Sting. Four more entrants left. Ohno tossed Gunner over the top. No. 27 was Alexander Rusev. He went right after Ohno. No. 28 was Austin Aries. He hit Sting with a running neck breaker. Ohno clotheslined Rusev over the top rope. No. 29 was Samoa Joe. AJ landed a release German suplex on Ohno. Aries eliminated Sting. No. 30 was Abyss. Uh oh. Ohno caught Abyss with a snap neck breaker. Joe reversed a double suplex into a double DDT. Aries eliminated Styles. Joe and Ohno had Abyss and Aries on the apron, respectively, but neither could get the elimination. Abyss kicked Joe off the apron. Ohno connected with a German suplex on Abyss. Ohno then eliminated Aries. Ohno and Abyss went back and forth for minutes with slams and close encounters before Abyss hit a big boot that sent Ohno flying over the top.

Recap: Bray is back as champ. These rivalries all had great matches to end their feuds. Abyss vs. Kane at WrestleMania? This was a great rumble match; maybe even better that last year's.
