NXT TAKEOVER, Year 4


Match 1. The Ascension vs. Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston   NXT Tag Team Championship
MVP is at ringside for Kofi and Big E. Viktor ducked a big boot, but Big E hit a back body drop. Konnor hit a flapjack, but missed a bicycle kick. Viktor caught Langston with a double underhook piledriver, but got a two count. The Ascension beat down Langston. Big E came back and hit the Big Ending on Konnor to win the titles.

Match 2. AJ Lee vs. Natalya   NXT Women's Championship
AJ slapped Natty across the face and then hit a huge reverse neck breaker. After a quick pin, she locked in the Black Widow. Natalya came back with attacks to the head. She went for the Sharpshooter, but AJ countered it. She hit a DDT and a modified version of the Sky Walker to win.

Match 3. Razor Ramon vs. Damien Sandow vs. Alberto Del Rio   NXT United States Championship
Del Rio and Sandow hit Razor with a double gut buster. Later, Sandow took down Del Rio and then hit him with the Elbow of Disdain. Razor then caught ADR and Sandow with double DDTs. Sandow landed You're Welcome on Razor. ADR took Sandow down with a heel kick. Razor caught Del Rio with a chokeslam and retained his title.

Match 4. Adrian Neville vs. Bully Ray
Neville used his quickness to take down Ray with a front dropkick and hip toss. Ray DDT'd Neville on the apron. Neville came back with a springboard splash and kick to the chest. Ray countered a running bulldog, grabbed Neville and connected with the Bully Cutter to win.

Match 5. AJ Styles vs. Prince Devitt vs. Alexander Rusev
AJ hit Devitt with the Styles Clash, but Rusev broke up the pin. AJ and Rusev then hit Devitt with a double spine buster. Later, AJ held Devitt and Rusev landed multiple punches. Styles hit Devitt with a supercanrana. Rusev then hit Styles with a swinging sidewalk slam. Devitt placed Rusev on the top rope. AJ grabbed Devitt and hit a second Styles Clash to win.

Match 6. Kevin Steen vs. Austin Aries
Aries had control early. He landed a hurricanrana. Later, he hit another one and a single-leg dropkick. Aries hit the brain buster and got a near fall. Steen came back with F-Cinq, but Aries kicked out. Steen got a near fall after a snap slam. He then locked in a full nelson hold and won.

Main Event. Dolph Ziggler vs. Antonio Cesaro   NXT Championship
Lose a Cell match, get an NXT title shot? Ok, then. Cesaro landed a release German suplex. He ran at Ziggler, but Dolph hit a snap slam. Ziggler rolled him up, but Cesaro countered for a near fall. Ziggler shook off a suplex and hit the Fame Asser and jumping DDT. He went for the Zig Zag, but Cesaro countered it. After a snap mare, Ziggler locked in a reverse chin lock and won.

Recap: Only one title changed hands and it was the one I least expected. Good back-and-forth action in the main event. The second triple threat match was great. There's a lot of talent on this roster.
