WWE SURVIVOR SERIES, Year 4

Not a single elimination-style match. This card looks great on paper.

Match 1. Hulk Hogan vs. Stone Cold vs. Ric Flair
A long, bloody triple threat match featuring three legends. Flair busted Austin open with a piledriver. Austin hit Hogan with the Stunner. Flair later busted Hogan open with a piledriver. Austin blocked a kick from Hogan and landed a second Stunner. Austin and Flair took Hogan out with a double DDT. Flair suplexed Austin and got the win.

Match 2Corey Graves vs. James Storm vs. Samoa Joe   WWE Intercontinental Championship

Graves and Storm have a storied rivalry. Joe won the Last Man Standing match last week. Joe and Storm hit Graves with a double gut buster. Joe blocked a kick from Storm and planted him with a DDT. Joe hit Graves with a dropkick. Storm then caught Joe with Closing Time. Joe landed a German suplex on Storm. Graves grabbed Joe from behind and hit MK Ultra to retain.

Match 3. Motor City Machine Guns vs. The Legacy
Cody caught Shelley with a power slam right away. Much later in the match, Cody picked up Sabin for the Alabama Slam. He went for a couple of pins, but Shelley broke them up. He then connected with Cross Rhodes and won.

Match 4. John Cena vs. Batista
Cena ran at Batista, but Big Dave landed a spinning sidewalk slam. He threw Cena into the corner, but Cena came back with a knee to the gut and a...hurricanrana! What?! Batista blocked a punch and hit the spine buster, but Cena kicked out. Batista hit Cena below the belt and won with the Batista Bomb.

Match 5. The Rock vs. Triple H
Triple H landed two punches and busted Rock open with a face smash. He then followed it up with a spine buster, but Rock kicked out. Rock ducked a clothesline and hit the Rock Bottom. Rock took Trips down with a drop toe hold and hit a second finisher to win.

Match 6. Sting vs. Kane w/ Ted DiBiase
Kane planted Sting with a DDT and then hit a sidewalk slam. After a pin attempt, he landed the chokeslam, but Sting still kicked out. DiBiase threw in a chair. Sting landed a suplex and later hit the Scorpion Death Drop to win.

Main Event. Bobby Roode w/ Triple H vs. Bray Wyatt   WWE Championship
Roode and Bray traded punches early. Triple H brought in a chair. Bray grabbed hit and knocked out Triple H. Roode then hit a sit-out spine buster. After a corner splash, Roode landed the spine buster. He then hit Pay Off, but Triple H distracted the ref. What?! Roode went after Triple H. Roode took out Triple H and made Bray tap with a front chokehold.

Recap: Great string of matches after the tag match. Roode was able to retain the title, no thanks to Triple H. I liked the IC title match. Great, young talent.
