KING OF THE RING, Year 2

There is a 16-man King of the Ring tournament between the two brands (WWE/TNA) that will take place as the main event. The winner will receive a title shot at the next PPV.

Match 1. Ryback vs. Daniel Bryan   WWE Championship
Yes! Yes! Yes! Ryback connected with rights and left and took him down with a clothesline. He then went for Shell Shock, but Bryan rolled him up and almost won. Bryan connected with his signature kicks to the chest and head. The two traded counters before Ryback hit Shell Shock to win.

Match 2. Iron Man - Kurt Angle vs. Christian
Both groups have been going at it for weeks. This is the final battle. Christian pulled out a ladder and hit Angle multiple times. Back in the ring, Angle landed three German suplexes. Angle hit the Angle Slam and got the first point with 8:04 left. Angle went up 2-0 after a second finisher, this time onto the ladder. Christian cut the deficit in half after a Killswitch. Angle kept the pressure on Christian, preventing him from scoring another point. Angle went up 4-1 after another Angle Slam.

Match 3. Fandango vs. AJ Styles   X-Division Championship
AJ took Fandango down with a heel kick. He then landed a springboard elbow drop. He continued with the Pele kick. After getting a near fall, AJ hit the Styles Clash and won the title.

Match 4. The Brotherhood vs. The Shield   WWE Tag Team Championship
Reigns brought in a sledgehammer and took out Goldust. He then connected with a Samoan drop. Cody came in and placed Reigns on the top. He held him on his shoulders and dropped him neck first. Crazy. Reigns somehow kicked out. He landed a huge DDT and a flying clothesline to win back the titles.

Match 5. Dolph Ziggler vs. Damien Sandow   Intercontinental Championship
Sandow caught Ziggler with a huge sit-out spine buster. He then hit the Elbow of Disdain, but Ziggler kicked out. He connected with Terminus, but couldn't get the three count. Sandow busted Ziggler open with a float-over DDT. After another DDT, Sandow hit the Elbow one more time and won. Three title changes in a row.

Match 6. Sting vs. Chris Sabin   TNA Championship
Sabin gets a huge opportunity here. Sabin tossed Sting into the corner, but missed the dropkick. Sabin rolled out of a piledriver attempt. Sting hit Sabin with a back drop on the apron. Sabin came back and hit the Future Shock suplex. Sting kicked out and won with the Scorpion Death Drop.

Bobby Roode vs. John Cena
Roode hit Cena with a neck breaker and an Arn Anderson-like spine buster. After a two count, he hit the Pay off, but Cena kicked out again. Cena came back with a shoulder tackle and the Five Knuckle Shuffle. He then stole Roode's finisher. A few moments later, Cena won with the AA.

James Storm vs. Shawn Michaels
Storm connected with mounted punches. He then blocked a punch and hit the Closing Time face buster. Storm later hit Michaels with a spear, but he couldn't keep him down. Michaels tried building some offense, but Storm kept the pressure on him. Storm hit a second spear and face buster to advance.

Finals
John Cena vs. James Storm
I was not expecting this as the finals. Storm came out firing. He landed a clothesline and neck breaker. Cena hit a belly-to-belly side slam and a flying shoulder tackle. He went to the top rope and attempted a diving elbow, but Storm jumped to his feet and connected with the Last Call super kick. Cena kicked out and went for the AA, but Storm countered. Cena ducked a super kick and won with the AA.

Recap: There were some big upsets in the first round. The title changes will make things very interesting. Cena will get a shot at Ryback at the next PPV.
