BATTLEGROUND, Year 1

This is a SmackDown-only event. Ryback is cashing in his Money in the Bank contract in the main event tonight.

Match 1. The Wyatt Family vs. ?????   Tag Team Championship
Harper and Rowan have dominated every team on SmackDown. Who is left for them to face? It's the Usos! They quickly showed their tag team skills with an atomic drop/big boot on Rowan. Jey hit Haprer with a full nelson bomb and almost won. Rowan caught Jimmy with a chokeslam, but he kicked out. Jimmy hit Harper with a corner splash and the full nelson bomb to win the tag titles.

Match 2. Ultimate Warrior vs. Sgt. Slaughter
Slaughter caught Warrior's leg and landed two clotheslines. He then hit a piledriver. Slaughter continued with a DDT and powerslam. Warrior came back with his own powerslam. After a two count, he hit a military press to win.

Match 3. Mr. Perfect vs. Goldust   European Championship
Goldust set Perfect up in the corner and connected with Shattered Dreams. Hennig picked up the stairs and busted Goldust open. Goldust came back with the Curtain Call. Hennig landed the Perfect-plex in the ring, but Goldust kicked out. Later, Perfect hit a picturesque snapmare and retained the title.

Match 4. Christian vs. Booker T vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Bray Wyatt
RVD and Christian battled on the outside with a ladder and sledgehammer. Van Dam put Christian through the announce table with a hurricanrana. Booker and Bray traded placed with Christian and RVD. Booker hit Bray with a dropkick as RVD landed Rolling Thunder. He then landed a spin kick and won.

Match 5. Big Show vs. Diesel
Booker T ran down and hit Show with the Book End. Sheamus ran down to even the odds. He and Booker fought on the ramp. Diesel hit Show with the Jackknife and almost won by countout. He hit another powerbomb a minute later to win.

Match 6. John Cena and The Rock vs. Rated-RKO
Cena hit Edge with a shoulder tackle and the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Edge came back with a flapjack and an Edge-O-Matic DDT. All four men fought on the ramp. Edge and Orton hit Cena with a double gut buster. Cena got up and hit Edge with the AA to win.

Main Event. Sheamus vs. Ryback   World Championship
Will Diesel cost Sheamus the title? Sheamus hit Ryback with three tilt-a-whirl slams in about a minute and a half. Ryback countered the Celtic Cross into a DDT. Ryback then landed Shell Shock. Sheamus hit a belly-to-beck suplex and powerslam on the outside. Ryback landed a DDT and the meat hook clothesline to win the title.

Recap: That was an exciting first match. The Usos took down the Wyatts. There will be a rematch coming soon. I have grown fond of the Mr. Perfect/Goldust feud. A new world champion!
