EXTREME RULES, Year 1

This is SmackDown's first pay-per-view. 

Match 1. Sheamus vs. Ryback

These two have rarely been used on SmackDown. Sheamus landed a tilt-a-whirl slam and powerbomb. He went for the Celtic Cross, but Ryback reversed it and hit Shell Shock. Sheamus locked in a bear hug, but Ryback was able to break free. He hit a second Shell Shock and won.

Match 2. The Wyatt Family vs. Legion of Doom   Tag Team Championship

With only two teams on SmackDown, we could be seeing this match a lot. LOD were beating down Harper on he outside. They went for a double suplex, but it was reversed into a double DDT. Rowan caught Animal with a huge chokeslam. He landed another chokeslam a few minutes later to retain.

Match 3. John Cena vs. Randy Orton

Two of today's top stars. Orton tossed Cena into the corner and landed a t-bone suplex. Cena landed a Lou Thesz Press, but Orton came right back with a clothesline. He then stomped all over Cena and got a two count. Cena sprung up and hit the AA to win.

Match 4. Goldust vs. Christian   European Championship

Goldust landed an atomic drop and his signature uppercut. He then placed Christian in the corner and connected with Shattered Dreams. Christian kicked out and went for Killswitch, but Goldust reversed it and hit the Curtain Call to retain his title.

Match 5. Kofi Kingston vs. Bray Wyatt

Kofi was able to overcome Bray. He landed a huge jumping forearm and hurricanrana on the outside. Bray came back with Sister Abigail. Bray got a couple of near falls before Kofi connected with Trouble in Paradise to win.

Match 6. Table - Ultimate Warrior vs. Diesel

This is the co-main event for SmackDown. Diesel landed a suplex and back body drop before getting a table. Warrior clotheslined Diesel. He then lifted him up for a military press slam and body splash. Diesel later hit the Jackknife. Diesel had the table set up and put Warrior through it with a fall away slam.

Main Event. Edge vs. The Rock   World Championship

Rock clotheslined Edge and then left the ring. Edge followed and landed a reverse DDT. Rock came back with a huge spine buster on the mats. Edge countered the Rock Bottom and connected with a spear that almost broke Rock in half. Edge landed an Electric Chair Drop and won.

Recap: Lackluster main event. The table match was much better. Kofi/Bray had a really good match, too. Month one is down, 11 more to go.
