PAYBACK, Year 1

Superstars is running this event.

Match 1. The Millionaires and The Miz vs. Prime Time Players and Rey Mysterio
Great match to start the PPV. The Prime Time Players hit DiBiase with the Doomsday Device. Young and Rey later hit a double hip toss. Miz hit O'Neil with mounted punches and a heel kick. O'Neil and Miz traded finishers, but neither man got the win. JBL powerbombed Rey and won.

Match 2. X-Pac vs. Curtis Axel
Axel took Pac down with a suplex. He then landed a kick to the back and a clothesline to a seated X-Pac. Pac came back and landed the Bronco Buster. After a knee smash, he hit the X-Factor, but got a two count. Axel blocked a kick and ht Turning Heads to win.

Match 3. Razor Ramon vs. Wade Barrett   Intercontinental Championship
The Bad Guy has held this title since April. Will Barrett be the one to take it from him? HE DID IT! Barrett had Razor in the ropes and landed some dangerous knees. He then hit a running knee, knocking Razor to the floor. Back in the ring, Barrett got two near falls before hitting the Winds of Change to win the title.

Match 4. Bret Hart vs. Ric Flair
Flair landed a tilt-a-whirl slam on Bret. Bret then put Flair in the tree of woe, but the Nature Boy landed a knee and hit a double underhook suplex. A little later, Bret came back with a spike pile driver and won.

Match 5. CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio
Goldberg came down and attacked Del Rio for his chair shots last week. He and Punk hit Del Rio with a double DDT JBL ran down and evened the odds. Del Rio ducked a clothesline and rolled Punk up. Goldberg landed the Jackhammer and Punk got the win.

Match 6. Triple H vs. Chris Jericho
Triple H tossed Jericho into the corner and then hit a back breaker. Jericho lifted Triple H up for the triple powerbombs. He then hit a fourth powerbomb, but Triple H still kicked out. Razor Ramon ran down and hit Triple H with the Razor's Edge. Road Dogg came out from the crowd, but it was too late. Jericho hit another powerbomb with a bridge and won.

Main Event. Undertaker vs. Batista   AWA Championship
With no interaction between these to in the weeks leading up to the PPV, this should be interesting. Taker landed a Russian leg sweep and the chokeslam. Taker then busted Batista open with a DDT. Batista came back with a huge spine buster. He later went for the Batista Bomb, but Taker got out of it. He lifted Batista up and landed the Tombstone to retain.

Recap: Great PPV. All of the matches were short, but they were good. The battle lines were drawn.
